Hi Rowan
Is this a master or a testshot? ... From the pix I am not really impressed (I know: just 3 pix) Food for discussion: panel lines seem(!) a bit soft - a la Kinetic F-84F, rudder integrally moulded with the fin ....
cheers
Steffen

rudder integrally molded with the fin ....
It's not that easy to find a picture of an F-5E that has a rudder canted to one side or the other (esp if the cockpit is empty), so really molding the rudder to the tail fin is quite accurate.
On the other hand, I am one of those people who is annoyed at P-47 kits having separately molded flaps because you never see P-47 just sitting around with lowered flaps, so why go to all the effort and expense to make flaps that you just have to position closed anyway?
now if F-5Es were known for the rudder being ff to the side while sitting around, that would be a different matter.
no big deal either way I guess (as far as I am concerned).

Fantastic!
Now we need a T-38 kit to go with it! My buddy Mongo would be so happy if there was a T-38 coming right along with this one.

sword released a very good T-38 a few years ago. In fact, I am building one right now. I have posted a couple pics of the build, and you can find it about 1/3rd of the way down this page.
granted it is a limited run kit, but it is a high quality one.

Used to be that Type VI LERX and Shark Nose went together. Now that is not always the case as many of the radar noses are pointy yet use the Type VI.
Similarly, there combinations of tails and dorsal antennas that are not easily done except as standalones (I'm not even going to go into things like the Iranian Magic rails).
And I prefer to see the LEF/TEF deflected along with a jacked nose strut and open aux inlet grilles to depict the jet as it looks when you light it up and all the hydraulics start to come to life.
As a good, basic, kit it has some good things going for it in comparison with the Monogram. But as an improvement equal to the 50-60 bucks I'm sure they will ask, what I see thus far leaves me sceptical.
