Hi everyone!
I was recently leafing through Italeri's 2002 catalog. What caught my eye was this line of 1:48 scale metal aircraft, consisting of just two items, Fw-190 F-8 (40501) and Spitfire mk.XIV b (40502). Photos show component sprues and the 190 partially built. The 190 reminds me of Eduard's kits with it's open(able) wing-root cannon bays and complete engine, it's mounts and the fuselage gun compartment.
So, my question is: what happened to these kits? Where they ever even released?
I don't remember ever seeing them anywhere, nor do I recall any mentions in magazines or the internet. I looked at the manufacturer's website, tried googling but found at a single mention of these two models.
Does anyone know what was going on and what happened?

Hi Eetu
I remember Revell having a Bf 109 (K?) and a Spit in all metal somewhere in the 1990ies but I cannot remember that Italeri crates ... sorry.
all the best
