Picked this kit up on a whim last winter, finally made time to finish it. Had to spice it up a touch though. Added a nail to the flat tire, a patch on the "good" one, some serious weathering, a bucket to catch the oil from the german Flak damage, a bit of old car kit parts to the back wall of the cockpit and another bandage to the weary pilots head.
Paints are testors enamel rattle cans and brush paints. I used a bit of Ink and some railroader "grime" to weather it after streaking it with smudged sharpie ink lines.
Enjoy, I did and if you want a flat out fun build, pick one up.

Hi Shawn,

This is an excellent model! Did you shoot photos while building it? maybe we could publish a feature about your "Not so scale" Spitfire...

Hi Shawn.
Can't believe I missed this until now!
I love these "caricature" planes, and youve made a great job of this one.
The little extra touches really make it,,and the buckets still making me laugh.

Jean Luc, unfortunately I did not shoot WIP shots of it and these are really just quick snaps to share. I have one of it in primer and thats about it

Nigel, thanks for the kind words, the bucket was a last minute "OH!" as I wondered the local hobby lobby.

Thanks Soeren, its fun to build something that has no real ties to reality...although I still researched it
