I've been looking at reviews of these in 1/72 trying to work out which would be the best kits to buy. From what I've read it seems that the new Hasegawa tooling F15, the Academy F/A18 and the Fujimi F14 are the best to go for. These reviews are a few years old now and I was wondering are these still the best kits to go for? Are there any other kits of these planes worth considering - such as Italeri or Revell?

thanks
Mike

I can't comment of the other kits but for the F-14 I would go with the Hasegawa kit. first and then the Fujimi kits second. If you can get the Hasegawa kit that comes with some etch then your laughing.

I've just looked at the kits in my stash. I have an Israeli F15C by Hasegawa and it looks like new tooling and the same for the Hasegawa F/A18C - they both have recessed panel lines and look more complicated builds then the last Hasegawa F15 I built years ago. I have a Fujimi F14 and I've picked up a Revell F14 cheap so I can compare them - If I'm not happy at the Revell kit I may sell both and try to get a new Hasegawa F14 if thats the best one.

thanks
Mike
