hi guys ive got italeris tornado ids with black panther special colours
im more of an armour builder but do a few aircraft to broaden horizon
tornados are a favourite of miney and with this 1 which i have worked on for quite a while im coming close to finishing but quite a while yet.
my question is are there any 1/48th pilot figures for the tornado or any that will fit. plus ive lost the leg structure for the rear of the plane
number 80b can i find a replacement like aftermarket or plastic?
or if some1 has spares i would willingly buy off you?
cheers tony

Not sure of pilot figures, but you can check out Scale aircraft conversions for the landing gear, if the don't have careful drilling and peice of brass wire will fix the landing gear real quick.

Ok, i see the issue here, italeri is good about replacment parts. there should be contact information in the instructions. I don't have the address or phone number on hand. I'll check to see if SAC has a set of gear legs and try to get back with a link or ordering info.

OK sadly enough SAC doesn't have a set for the tornado. Their homepage is http://www.scaleaircraftconversions.com/homepage.cfm?sr=1 . I did find that AEROCLUB has a replacment set for the tornado and it's available from Hannant's and a few other places online. Good Luck please post some pics of the kit. STUG

Tony, I'm happy I could help you. I also know the feeling of crossing genre's of kits from your normal subjects. I used to build a lot of armor. Then a few years ago i was bitten by the aircraft bug, and try to alternate genres. So good luck and most improtant have fun.

hannants are a good source for replacement / detailing part s
tornado builders almost always ditch the plastic ( as with the real aircraft it is a week point ) and replace with metal items if going this route also order the parragon bulged tyres set to give it a good on the ground look !!
" hannants models " will turn up in a web search and there is plenty of aftermarket for gr1 / ids tornado variants !!
