I would like to order some vacform canopies at Modelimex (thanks to Mecenas for answering my PM ).
First of all, are they reliable? And do they ship small parcels as well?
Secondly, I read the conditions but this point is not clear to me:

"When placing your order, shipping will be set for 16 EUR (for EUROPE) and for 18 EUR (for WORLD) no matter if you choose lower shipping. Reason is our new online payment system called 3D Secure that will not allow us to charge you higher shipping than you chose in your order.
AFTER YOUR ORDER IS PROCESSED WE WILL ONLY CHARGE ACTUAL SHIPPING RATE".

Maybe mine is a silly question: what does it mean? Did you have any experience with them?

yeah in my experience they are totally fine.
I agree the message about shipping is off putting. So much
so I spoke to the guy (his name escapes at the moment) to
change it. The shipping is reduced to a reasonable level
once you order. They are usually on skype if you want to
talk to them direct.

Thanks for your answer! I've placed the order and payed regularly after some e-mails with Petr, who was very kind and helpful. Right, the way the mailing conditions are written are not very clear, but they were reported on the confirmation e-mail in a better way: we have to charge provisionally the maximum (€16) for the credit card authoriziation, but once you placed the order you will pay the actual shipping rate (in my case €3 because the package would weigh less than 100g). Anyway, one of the e-mail I got from Petr stated that I could directly pay €3 for shipping+the order amount, so I just spent €2.75 for the canopies (3 pieces for my Me-262 - never used vacuform before so I have three chances). Maybe not convenient, but I didn't manage to find spare canopies in Rome...
