I just wonder if any one could answer me what color should the circled area be? I seen pic of the Naval planes, with this area painted red, this area is the area that when the flap is retraced, it will be invisible, and only visible whilst the flap is down. Thanks in advance.

All the pics I've seen have it the same color as the rest of the plane.
