Hi all

Just a quick heads-up that I'll be moving away from London to Aeroscale's new country pile on the Isle of Wight next week.

This means I'll probably be off-line from sometime on Monday through to late on the following weekend (I may have a slow internet connection, but I'm not going to count on it...)

Therefore, please bear with me during the short period of disruption. All our Staffers will be only to help with any problems you have, and if you do send me any e-mails or PMs while I'm away (and I don't manage to log-in), I'll catch up with everything as soon as aI can the following week.

All the best

Thanks Steffen

I'm afraid almost all my finished and half-finished kits have taken a real battering in the course of several accidents while packing. I had one lucky escape, but then fate took a hand, big time! I almost threw the lot in the bin, but I have boxed them up to see if there's anything worth repairing once I get to the other end.

Ohh well. It's all the more reason to make a fresh start on some new builds.

All the best

I see ... you want to leave all behind .. you could have just given away the stuff instead of destroying each and every model

Cheers guys

It'll be such a treat to get the move over and done with and be able to build some kits again! There'll definitely be some cyber-beers flowing.

All the best

I've heard no rumors of a Coup d'état or revolution, so have a safe move, get yourself settled, then get back to work.

Hi Rowan,

Good luck for the move.

One question: have you hired a Jumbo Jet to fly your stash to the Isle of Wight?

Hi Jean-Luc

Well, I'm hoping to move everything in one go, so I've hired a C-5 Galaxy....

I heard of a proposal to build a causeway, so the stash could be lorried in, as there is no place to land a C-5, with that kind of load onboard. There was also put forth a proposal to shore up certain sections of the Isle, to keep it from listing to one side, once the stash arrives.

Hi Chuck

I shouldn't laugh - I've got to find room to put it all when I arrive!

All the best my good fellow. I'll send a troop of the all girl ground crew around to help sweep up so you can get your cleaning deposit back. But you can"t keep them. The Early aviation hangar needs them for the late night all girl pillow fights and wrestling matches. I referee of course.

Before we get accused of sexual stereotyping, I'd better hasten to add that I'll be doing all the cleaning! Of course, if anyone wants to help, I'm sure I'll be able to find an extra mop or duster...

Now - in case anyone gets REALLY confused because I carry on posting next week... Fate has taken a hand and it's now looking as though I'll be moving at the end of the week, rather than the beginning.

Best laid plans, and all that - chaos was always going to win out, wasn't it!

But it does mean that I should be able to publish some new reviews before I go.

Hi Dave

Well, (hopefully...) it's a temporary solution until I can sort out long enough bits of string to go between the yoghurt pots, because it does seem a bit slow compared with my wired-in connection - but it's good to be back online.

Over the weekend in a totally empty flat I think I probably practised guitar more than I have done in many, many, years. No wonder the neihbours all turned out to wave me off today!

All the best

Rowan
