Hello!
I'm curious... what do you prefer between Gunze and Tamiya Acrylics?
Question: have you tried the Gunze transparent paints? If so, are they worth a try?

Ciao Giacomo,
I've used both Tamiya and Gunze and from my own experience I think Gunze are better. I use the Gunze Aqueous (H code) and they spray wonderfully. I usually use windscreen wash as thinner and airbrush cleaner.
All the best,
Mike.

Hi Giacomo
I agree with Mike. I prefer Gunze Sangyo, but sadly they're not very widely available in the UK these days. The ones I've got are among the nicest acrylics I've used..
All the best

Hi
I actually just made the conversion to acrylics from enamels very recently and spent some time using ModelMaster, Tamiya, and Gunze Aqueos (sp?) In order of ease of spraying I would go with Gunze, ModelMaster, and then Tamiya. Gunze also offers a much wider range of colors than Tamiya. I thin MM and Tamiya with their respective thinners, and used 91% Iso Alcohol with the Gunze. Used Windex to clean up after all 3. MM's downfall seemed to be some adhesion issues. I occasionally have pulled up small chunks of MM with Tamiya masking tape, lightly pressed down. Haven't had that problem at all with the other 2. I will say MM is the most 'odorless' of the bunch, with Gunze a close 2nd, and Tamiya a rather distant 3rd. I had a horrible experience trying to use acrylics some 20 years ago, and am just now coming around again and so far so good.
Good luck and hope my experiences are of some help to you
regards
Paul
