Nice kit from Revell Germany. Goes together well. Thinking of bashing two of them together to make a 390.

It didn't really require that much paint. Painting was pretty straight forward. Looks huge, even next to a 1/32 109.

Very nice Mark!

Did you use the fighter colours (RLM 74/75) ?... hmm, just has a look at my friends build and he used 72/73 but it looks similar to yours on the photos .. maybe it is just a matter of photography (lighting) and colour balance ... in real life it does not look reddish/violet

All in all you build a fabulous Ju 290!!

all the best

Steffen

Hallo Steffen,
I used 74/75/65, per kit instructions. After painting I found a review of the kit that mentions colors were more likely 72/73/65. Same thing happened with the Fw200 I'm working on. Instructions call out for 72/73/76, now I find out 76 was more than likely 65. Fortunately I'll be building both again. Consider these "test" builds.

PS. When I began using Jagdfleiger, the corrct spelling was already taken, had to reverse the ei to use it.

Very nice build there. I have this kit and enjoy large multi engine aircraft to build. You inspire me to break the kit out and start. Russell

You could do that, or you could get Classic plane conversion which includes a 290 kit with parts to modify to a 390.
BTW excellent looking 290 !! Like the finish even if the colours are not 100% correct.
I've been mulling over when to do mine and seeing finished like this really inspires one to do it. So far all the masking is holding me back.
David.
