Does anyone have and refs that detail USN paint colors and schemes for aircraft of Patrol Bombing Squadron 197 during the later stages of WWII? Looking for authentic PB4Y-2 Privateer paint.

Hi there, Russell here. To the best of my knowledge the paint scheme carried by PB4Y-2's was the same three color scheme other Navy aircraft had mid war. I haven't seen any all sea blue aircraft until after the war ended, but I could be wrong.

I think you can't go wrong with sea blue topsides, intermediate blue sides, and white undersides. At least that is my best opinion. Hope this helps some. Russell
