I am up to my elbows in enginegrease, getting the hisso done on my WNW Se5a.
I have a question regarding the spark plugs and magneto wiring.
May I assume the cable shielding was a brownish colour, and made of braided material?
The spark plugs would have a white ceramic part showing as per modern plugs?
Ill have to get off my lazy butt and take some pics for you guys. Ive got the camo toned up nice, decals on and pinwashed ...doing my detail painting now..

Generally that a good description. I was thinking about the Model Car details sets for those kits. Detail Masters I think. Also there are some shots of other modelers attempts on the search engine here.

Well from period pics I believe the plug were not white, they are a darker colour, so I hazarded a guess at black dk brown myself.

I guess I could go through what ref's I have but that would be to easy and I'm feeling more then lazy myself this morning . I do remember on Steve's ( Hatter ) build he had the plug wires yellow ( ?) But I have seen other builds which these are done in a dark black / brown colour which seems to make more sence to me . Have a peek on the Drome as well some builds of the Se5a are being done .

I did a google on the Hisso, and looked in my copy of JANES as well...the B&W pics seem to show white ceramic plugs,,,,but I admit Im totally guessing ..they are just light in the pics..and Im sure museum engines dont have ancient plugs in em, but thats another assumption..
