Hi Gang,
I`ve just started on my latest project which is a pair of Revell 1/32nd RAF Tornado`s (the old and the new tooling - the difference is incredible !).
I plan to do one in Desert Pink (the new tooling) and one in wrap-around grey and green (the old tooling using the decals from the new one) but i`ve hit a brick wall.Revell,in their divine wisdom, only give for the two-tone
a paint mix in their own colours, none of which are given for Humbrol matches, which is what i use.
Can any of my fellow modellers help me out by supplying the appropriate Humbrol enamel colours so i can push on ?.
P.S. The old tooling is a bit basic but with a little TLC can be vastly improved,i`ve already improved the ejector seats by adding some stretched sprue to make emergency handles.

Hi Danny
First if you do need to match one paint to another manufacturer my first thought would always be IPMS Stockholm. Urban Fredriksson's Colour charts are one of the most helpful tools online (plus their FS color server). Also you will find the colours by nation (with FS code) which will help if you do not find a match. Do not know how often I alreday posted this link

A 2nd hint is the site of Jens Popp (Don Color - http://www.jpsmodell.de/dc/index.htm). He has a lot of profiles online. Here is a direct link to the Tornado stuff (I guess top row 2nd entry will fit your needs)

hope this helps
all the best

For the Desert Pink you would be looking for RAF Desert Pink Gulf War. FS number is 30279
I believe Humbrol use to 250 Matt Desert Sand but I personally don't think it was a close enough match. Hannants however do a very close match RAF Desert Pink Gulf War
Xtracrylics
Xtracolour Enamel
As for the green grey scheme do you have any pics to reference against?
Hope this helps
