Thanks to all! I really appreciate everyone that took the time to cast your vote. Also, thank you Mal for giving us the opportunity to compete and post our work. Last but not least, I would like to show my appreciation to Dragon for sponsoring MOM throughout the months.
Cheers,
Hermann

Hi Sean
I think there were only three entries this time, and the third was a diorama, so sadly not within the rules of the competition:
"6. 1 picture is to be uploaded into the relevant gallery and titled with what the model is of, I.E. VS Spitfire Mk Vc. No composites. This picture must be of just the model, no base. (For a model posed in the "in Flight" configuration" a small stand is allowed which can be used to either support the model or as a counter weight. A beaching dolly can be used for a float plane."
I'd say to everyone entering the MoM - please, do check the rules that Mal includes at the start of every month's entry thread to avoid disappointment.
All the best

Yes the third entry actually broke many of the rules, sometimes though it has been possible to work with the entrant to get things sorted. However I can't really afford the time to chase entrants when the rules are clearly posted every month.
Having said that I don't mind at all if a potential entrant wants to clarify any points. Remember that the aim is to get more pictures of models posted.

Mal,
..I think one of the reasons for a lack of entrants is down to the quality of the work posted. I mean looking at Herman's model there's no way 50% (75%?) of us would even bother to post really is there ? ..anyway around that? ..perhaps a 'window' for posting entries, but no-one is able to see them until voting opens..?
just a thought
cheers
Neil

that's a great think Neil. I know I'm nowhere near going to win, but I almost posted
my 109 nightfighter then seen some p51 (which i don't think even got a vote even though
it was lush!) and went nah I'll never win this month. I ought to have voted for that stang it was nice.

Neil and John-Paul said it best. The best model I've ever built doesn't hold a candle to the majority of the entries in a given month. IMO.

Hi there
I can certainly see Neil and JP's point about "blind entries" to encourage more contestants - the question is how to organise it in such a way that it doesn't lead to a lot more work for Mal (remember, he also has the Bulldogs' site to manage).
Suggestions for a simple system are more than welcome - as with everything on Aeroscale, we try to do things to reflect the wishes of the community as a whole. Staffers just have the plum job of oiling the wheels now and again.
