1:48 P-40 N-1 "Burma Banshee"Posted: Friday, October 23, 2009 - 08:47 PM UTC
Here are some photos of Steffen Arndt's 1:48 scale P-40 N-1 "Burma Banshee" model. The base is a modified P-40M from Hasegawa and the typical Death Head nose art was artistically modified by the author to match the one of the real aircraft.

I have a 1/48 Eduard Profipack kit of a P-40N with death's head (Its the old Mauve kit with some extras).
The box art shows the plane with its teardrop drop tank on backwards. Is this because the tank was used as a napalm bomb and installing it backwards helped it to separate from the aircraft when dropped
Regards
Len
