Hi all
I just noticed the Hawkeye is in stock at luckymodel .. I am really tempted, but as my wallet is dry as the desert .... maybe I am lucky to get a sample in the future ...

Nice, it should make a nice build. Just like you, I'm dry and have a full stash of 5 kits to build (full by my standards and far from those that I've seen so far, including yours ) I would love to see someone pick this up and do a build blog!
Cheers,
Hermann

Damn, it's nice to know that other people are experiencing the old empty wallet syndrome. Hey, here's an idea. A bunch of you guys chip in a few dollars each, buy the kit, send it to me, and I'll build it and show ya'll the pic's.
No, seriously I'd love to have this kit. Maybe Santa will be good to me this year.

Now I agree…this is very impressive. This is something I will get my hands on. From what I can see the detail looks great, crisp and clean. I’d like to see a set of decals for the VAW-117 “WALLBANGERS”.

hard to miss, but for those that do not regularly visit HS: Brett Green has reviewed the kit today on his site.

Did see it today, great sprue shots. From what I read it has some problems, and what kit doesn't..right. One good thing to see is that there are no ejection pin holes in the wing fold section, however they can be found in the wheel bay areas. The cocpit detail gets soft in the upper outer edges of the panel. I hope the see an resin/PE aftermarket wheel bay and cockpit set released along with some great decals (High-Viz).

I decided to look into the kits overall measurements, here’s what I came up with.
The 1/1 scale E-2C..................................1/48th E-2C
Length… 57ft. 7in.....................................14 ¼ inch
Wing Span… 80 ft. 7in.............................20 ½ inches
Radar Doom 24ft......................................6 inches
This kit will look great next to a couple of EA-6B Prowler / A-6E Intruders with their wings folded up ward as well. Very impressive!
Happy Modeling,
Joe
