The latest to hit my bench is the Revell version of this classic fighter.

I am planning to do it as one of the aircraft from the the Black Arrows display team. For this I am using Xtradecal sheet X72046, which gives the markings for Lathams aircraft.

The only addition I am making to the kit are a Pavla bang seat and the the air brake from Quickboost.

I have started work on the cockpit and fitted the Pavla seat which reqiured some adjustment of the stick as the new seat is slightly bigger than the kit version so make sure you test fitted. There are some pin marks that needed filling on the side wall behind the seat so out came the Mr Dissolved Putty to deal with this.

Next up painting the cockpit...

It's a great model, you're gonna love it.

With a small improvements it will surely be a pleasure to build. I only had slight problems with attaching fueltanks to the pylons. There are also some tricky decals with the number from the lower surfaces of the wing.

I have already subsrcribed this thread Good luck!

Great choice! I agree with Mecenas's comments. Great kit, even out of the box (it's the only aircraft I manged to finish so far - in almost two years). Only trouble are those bloody underside decals

That's what I did almost out of the box...

so with your aftermarket you're gonna have a very nice model at the end.

Think about adding the aerial masts at the fuseladge and wings - I did it from the streched sprue. Very easy and gives good effect.
