Hi,

I'm looking for photo of the inside of Macchi M5.

There is only one in windsock datafile .

It seems that there is in windsock international N°6 Vol 6 ( Italian Warplane Special) but it is out of printed and I do not find it.

Somebody could scan me pictures which could interest me?

Regards
Louis

Hi,

I'm finding one page of windsock intenational with macchi M5 drawings, but it look like Machi M7 cockpit (....) :

And two photos of "scratch building" macchi.

The builder find a photo into:

"Medal of Honor (Aviators of World War One, Volume 1)"

I do not know if information is reliable.

Louis , I have the book Medal of Honor Vol 1 Aviators of World War One . and yes it does cover the Macchi - M-5 , but not the info you are looking for . It's more on the pilots who flew them . Other then the Windsock I have no info on the cocpit structure .

An excellent reference on small flying boats can be found in Mark Hamrick's build of the Russian copy.

The book will be ready in a few week (or days....).

A book about Motore Isotta Fraschini V4b is in progress.

Hi,

The CD with the drawings set from @ www.avioebooks.com land at my home today.

Drawings are very good and beautiful. They will be very useful to build kit (control column, panel control, rudder bar, throttle control (I believe it's a throttle control...), inside view, etc).

Drawings are "big" and large (high resolution). Sometimes it's difficult to understand what it represents because I am not used to read "industrial" design (original plan). It's not really a problème.

Try it!
