Im thinking for my lastest project of doing an airplane and a base. I dont know what the base would be probally wwII maybe but most likely korean war/vietnam war plane. Im going to need some help picture wise with this. If any of you have been to the boneyard out in arizona and have pictures that would help me out. Seeing what kind of damage the planes are in and what not. Im going to need help with the base too since Ive never built one. Im going to look for that tarmac effect with grass coming up inbetween the cracks. Once the whole thing is completed its going to look really good.

what a shame,,
all them planes there.
just think all most all of the planes from world war 2 where choped up and made to be toasters and house hold stuff,
its a shame
that b17 and b29 became tosters..
i saw that on the history channel

Here is an idea for that kind of a diorama.
Use Shep Panes mirror trick ala his AC factory and his full interior of an old iron sides.
Use three mirrors to box in the sides and back to give infinite 'depth' and repetition of the dead planes.
If you want more info I can offer it. Just let me know.

When my dad was a fireman in the Air Force in the 50's they used to burn B-24s, 17s, etc. for practice. What a waste.
