Hi guys, I was looking through an old photo album today and found some shots of the HE111 that went down last week. The airshow was done by the CAF in Columbus Indiana in 1982. Thought you might enjoy seeing the old girl on a better day.
She was impressive The CAF put on an renactment of Peal harbor that day, lots of T-6's converted to look like Zeros and a B-17. Actual planes used in fiming Tora Tora Tora were used. I can scan a few more photos if any one is interested.

Great pics WB, thanks for posting them. I must admit the oldies do look better in their natural habitat,ie flying, than retired away in a museum. Years ago I used to go to lots of airshows simply to see the historic aircraft flying. I think the guys in the warbird community are to be congratulated for their hard work in restoring these pieces of history back to flying condition.

I too found my stash of pics of the Heinkel. I have a couple of pictures of the inside of the plane as well as a few of the cockpit area. I am glad that I had the chance to walk thru her and see it first hand.

My favourite WW2 bomber was the B-17, but this pics are very interesting because they show us a lot of details of the He 111. If you have more please post them.

Cas, No more pictures of the He111 but here are some you might enjoy of the same air show.
Hope you enjoyed that. I still can remember how impressed I was after 20 some years only wish I had a video camera back then
