Well, I couldn't hold off any longer had to crack the box on her! Which is fine as I'm still waiting for paints to arrive for my 32nd Hasegawa Shoki...
I had to skip to the stage to build the Merlin... It goes together really nicely. I love the PE intake manifold gaskets... I still have to clean up a couple of seams here and there and it should get a coat of paint on the engine block tonight hopefully.

That has goe together really nicely! I've been resisting the temptation to go straight to the Merlin - you almost expect it to be earlier in the instructions, don't you. I'll really look forward to following your build, especially as I'm sure you'll soon get way ahead of me (I know, it isn't difficult! ) - I'm sure you'll be able to signpost potential pitfalls for me.

I've never really been that bothered about displaying engines on aircraft models, but this looks like a must Especially if the cowlings can be removed and replaced. I'll be watching this build closely too
