Santa just dropped of the new Airfix 1:24 Mosquito.
Very impressive with plenty of detail, I guess reviews will follow here in due course.
A bit of trivia, the engine nacelles are the same length as a 1:48 P-51
Cheers

Hi Terry
I knew it was big, but that is truly scary!
Mal got the kit the other day, but I think he may be going away for Christmas, so yours could well be the first report if you fancy writing one for us. It's such an awesome-looking kit, it'd be tragic not to give it plenty of coverage.
All the best

Yap, this is a big model. I'm affraid you will need a bucket for the paint and an airbrush normally used for painting trucks...

This is true, but I am going to try and do a review, it depends on the mask situation. The kit is wonderfully large and very well detailed, the instructions are the size of a news paper The only thing that I can see that is a little suspect is the shape of the rocket war heads, everything else looks to be spot on, the merlins are beautiful

Hi there
I went up to London to catch up with my old work colleagues for a Christmas drink and to do a bit of shopping - so, inevitably, that involved a trip out to Hannants. They have an Airfix Mossie that they can't sell because it has a cracked canopy, so it's there for customers to examine. Good grief it's big! The moulding quality looks excellent and it's a thoroughly impressive kit on every level. If the aim was to really underline to the world "Airfix are back!", I think they've scored a stunning success.

Wow Terry, Santa must really, REALLY like you! That plane is simply huge. It'll be one absolutely stunning model when it's completed. Love the fact that Airfix chose not only the 1/24 scale and a twin engine aircraft, but an Allied one at that. Looks like you've got your work cut out for you. Please post some pictures along the way so we can check out what one of these beauties is like!

I've been stoked for a 1/24 Mossie since before Airfix announced it. I'd love one, to review and eventually build--as if I'll have time for that anytime soon.
