Hello,
I have a question regarding the Lindberg’s Spirit of St. Louis. I am putting together Revell 1:48 kit and I would like to depict the plane in the trans-atlantic jump configuration and markings. I have read in a review on the Internet that the original round-end propeller spinner was replaced in New York prior the famous flight due some defects. The new spinner was supposedly pointed at the end, which is what the kit provides. There is also a corresponding decal with turned "swirlies". However, the mentioned review states that the replacement spinner was - in fact – smooth. Can anyone please confirm or disprove this information?
Thanks
