Very nice work there. I would add that the Buffalo was flown by the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy, not the Army Air Forces to the best of my knowledge. Just thought I would add that since you say USAF Buffalo on your introduction. A minor thing, don't worry about it. Again very good work there. Russell

Hi
Thanks for the info, I think I was meant to mean Navy as this one in question was a aboard USS Long Island (AVG-1), 1941 so the instructions tell me…..- I’m quite keen to do another one in different markings and with extra’s such as opened nacelles with a complete engine.

Great, I look forward to seeing your work. The Buffalo wasn't the best performer but sure is an interesting looking aircraft. Personally I think it really looks good in the RAF colors used in the Pacific. Russell

Who the heck names a fighter aircraft a "Buffalo"?
Regardless, you did a great job on it. Very impressive.

A company that goes broke on a cost plus contract? Brewster built F4U's for Vought and the quality was so poor, the Navy wouldn't let them out into the fleet. Used them for training instead.

Very nice Buffalo. Actually the Army Air Force did use a few in Australia. If you look at the F2A Buffalo in action book, there is a picture of an army one. I don't think they used them for very long. They have always been one of my favorite planes.

Reall nice Buffalo you have sat there. I just love the tubby little fighters, like this one and the wildcat, where they fought really bravely, although out classed by the Zero. However they were such tenacious little fighters that were willing to get into a furball and seek to kill the enemy.

Thanks all for the comments. I've since completed the same kit but in the RNZAF colours. Will get round to putting it on here soon.
