Looks good, Dave. Did you streak the green like on the prototype? I can't tell from the photo's. I guess I need to go ahead and finish mine, now.

When I first saw the pics I thought surely the colour on the wing struts can't be right! Thanks for providing the link to your reference pics, you seem to have got the colours spot on. What technique did you use to get the woodgrain effect on the propeller?

these new pics are an improvement ! they pay more respect to that nice model you've built !
I like your effect on the green color very much. What was your method for it ?
How is the kit ? enjoyable ?
And where are the crosses ?

:-) Now with better pics I can see. Overall very good. Nice to see a Dr 1 in other than the Barrons scheme :-)
Just a couple of points. Wings and undercarriage are a little sqew (gotta be hard to get square, with 3 0f them) a jig might have helped.
Not really knowing the Dr 1 but you my have missed a seam at the tail?
You seam to have got red paint on a few places on the undersides. (Put that down to eagerness to finish)
Is this you first WW I build? Not a bad start at all, will look really good when the markings are on. You will have to try one with rigging next :-)

It's neat to see another Dr-1 beside Richtofen's. I like it! What color is that on the undersurfaces of the wings?

actually.mal this is one of my latter ww1 planes,as my minister position portryas:-)The red spaots is actually the red plastic.Ipainted it on the sprue, but I have touched up those areas. The seam on the tail is natural for the dr1,the tail was just bolted down onto the fuselage, maybe for ease of assesmby.or to be stored with ease in hangars. And the offset of the wings is due to a broken spar, have fixed that tho.
