When I bought this Testors model I had some high hopes as most of us do when we make a new purchase. Once I got home and opened the box I was sorely disappointed and pissed off. Then again what can you expect with an El-Cheap-O $7 model. There was maybe half a dozen parts and no cockpit what so ever. Not knowing a lot of the Corsair I can't speak of its accuracy to the real deal. I would never recommend this kit to anyone. Then after sitting on my shelf for a few weeks I looked at it with a new resolve. I decided to build it and try some new weathering techniques. Up to the point of this build I had never weathered anything.
Here's the results.
All things considered I'm happy with the end result and I have to admit I got my moneys worth out of this one.

I think you did a fine job with a difficult, at best kit. One note for you, you have F4F for the Corsair it is actually F4U. You may know this but I thought I would make a friendly note of it and let you know. Again, you did a very good job. Russell
