Hi everyone,
Getting a late start to the modeling game I finally got my first Revell B-17G which is quite an impressive size kit. However having a few models under my belt, some experience with P.E., and a need for a new challenge. I want to jump into resin detail sets. This seems to be the perfect platform for using resin detail kits since there are so many.
I will be getting the True Detail: cockpit, bombardier, and waist gun kits which are easy to find. along with a resin engine if I want to show one of the cowlings removed.
However my dilemma comes to light when trying to track down a certain bomb-bay detail kit from Paragon Design. This company seems to be the only one that makes a resin detail kit for the B-17. I have found companies in England but can not seem to find any in the states.
The cost to have the resin kits shipped from England is more expensive than I can see spending but really want to show the bay open with a full bomb load.
Does anyone either know of an American company that still reps Paragon or does someone have this resin detail kit in their stash that is willing to part with it. I am more than willing to pay a fair price.
Please help!!! Really looking for the challenge of completing a detailed build.
Thank you,
Kyle

Wow, figured I would get some sort of response. I guess these elusive Paragon Resin detail kits for the B-17 are truly elusive.
Thank you all who have at least reviewed this post. Looks like I'll be sealing up this birds belly for this detail build.
Thanks again.
