Foil for NMF
Posted: Monday, January 11, 2010 - 10:11 AM UTC
Folks, does anybody still use foil for NMF finishes or is it all paint now. I was pondering taking a stab at it. But I don't know where to begin. I tracked down a couple of links, but they've long since vanished into the ether. Any hints, new links out there?

Bob,
Thanks, that's some great inspiration.
Any preferences on foil adhesive? I see Microscale and Uhu both sell them.

I've used run-of-the-mill foil adhesive purchased from a local big-box crafts store. I've also used Microscale foil adhesive, regular white glue and very sparing amounts of CA glue, all with good effect.

I have wanted to try this for a long time. It looks great when done correctly and you cant argue with good results. I really trust in my ability to get those results though.
It would be a great subject for a tutorial.

That's what I was hoping to find. But I haven't had any luck. I found a link for an article by ModelerAl but unfortunately it didn't survive him.
I'm almost fool enough to volunteer to report on my learning experiences but It'll be a while b4 I get brave enough.
