hi all,
i'm after pictures of the Fw 190 s-5 or s-8 two seat trainer cockpits.
i'm assuming the fronts were standard so i'm really after back seat pix or anything you may have.
i've managed to get some vac-form for this project although the MPM kit would be a big help.
cheers paul

Hi Paul,
Here are pictures of the resin cockpit tub and the instructions of MPM's kit...
It seems as if the forward cockpit was standard but the other lacks the side consoles and has a simplified instrument panel. I hope this is of some help for your project. Will you post pictures of your progress here?
Jean-Luc

in my quest for a couple more pix of the 2 seat fw 190 trainer i came across a resin conversion set.......so i bought it !
this should make things alot easier now, and over the next couple of months i'm going to start this.
gotta be careful cos i'm in 4 group builds this year plus 2 nearly finished on the bench at the moment and i dont want to get bogged down.

cool! Neat subject. I dont know if this site has anything (or if you can read russian) but it has some great line drawings and photos. Typically the bottom link is photos, the one above it is line drawings.

ok,another little update.
i've been massaging the resin(with the aid of power tools!)so that the cockpit floor now lines up in the right place.
and building a few sub assemblies.
the next thing to do is clean up the outside of the plane and rescribe some panel lines.

thanks,
i've not done much more because i have builders in my home and i've packed everything away or another 4 weeks...
here is the most recent pic.
i have put the cockpit in unpainted as it needs work to the rear bulkhead before painting and i shimmed the fus. before gluing it to the wings.

hi all,
right i've dug this out of the pile to complete it...
i had a few problems with the tamiya donor kit not being the right size, i.e. the engine and machine gun cowls were too big, so i looked around for another.
i had an hasegawa kit in the pile to i tried that....seems to fit pretty well with just a small spacer.
