Came across this beautiful aircraft over a year ago while making a delivery to a gentleman who turned out to be the owner. Have been wanting to build it since then. so my question is who makes the best 1/48 Hawker Hurricane mkI?
Thanks for any help.

Hi Martin
not soo many choices. For fabric wing, try to get the Classic Airframes kit else the Hasegawa.
all the best
Steffen
P.S not sure how advanced you are ... for people just wanting a Hurricane the Pegasus kit might be an option.

I have a Hasegawa waiting to be built, it looks nice in the box. Never tried the Pegasus. The Classic Airframes is the only option for a really early (say France) Hurri. Maybe 30 years ago I had the Airfix, which was a nice kit for then but I have no idea how it would stand the test of time.

Can't remember exactly, somewhere outside Didcot Oxfordshire the owner had his own hanger and private runway.

Peter Vacher (the owner) lives in Sutton Courtney, just North of Didcot, but I can't find an airstrip in the area in Google Maps.

Thanks, can see it on Google now. He's a lucky guy to have found that in India, with great perseverance to get it back into flying condition. Good luck with your model Martin!
