hi guys as revell have a sale on with a few items ive come across
their 1/32nd spitfire mk1 b
what im asking is the mk1 b suitable for battle of britain? was it used then?
or is it a later war model???

Hi Anthony.
The kit you posted the link to is the carrier version of the Spitfire. The Seafire.
These didnt come into service until later in the war. They were based on modified Spitfire Mk V's and werent around during the Battle Of Britain.

92 Squadron flew some Ib, during the BofB; Sgt. "Grumpy" Unwin was one of the pilots. According to his armourer it was R6776 QJ-H. Whether they carried the outer Brownings, or not, the compartments, with their covers, were still in place.
