A fine product!! I have built this same kit and it was not fun. There was lots of extra work.
This kit is far from the top of the list in qaulity so the hard work put in merits great praise from my point of view. OUTSTANDING!!!!

Hello Guys ,

Bryan , very nice job , F-18 is second before F-14 My favorite A/C - I like Your weathering and masking method , so in the end pictures - BUGY - is nice peace of art - I say so beacause I wanted MY F-18 to looks like too ( even in 1:72 scale ) . For now just like Maverick , I do My BUG - F-18 C from Hasegawa (but in 1:72 ), upgraded with Eduard PE ,after all I try send some pictures .

BlueBear - very outstanding tech .info - so after reading very big chalenge for MY - F-18 C.
I wondering about what You write -

The Hasagawa 1/72 and 1/48 are accurate for up to a Lot 12, but not for the different nose on the Lot 15/16

- How many changes mus put fom MY BUGY nose to upgrade to LOT15 - I have F-18 Walkaround book - I find there any differences about LOt12 and Lot15 ?

Best Regards

Right now I'm planning on going. I know that I'll be putting on an exercise down here and may be out of town...not sure yet. As soon as I know I'll let you know.

The chaff, gun electrical safety, and seat firing circuit plugs (they look like colored thread spools stuck on the port side of the nose) that you can see in pictures of the nose are repositioned from the earlier models, and the vents for the Vulcan cannon on the lower sides of the nose and on door #3 that appear as "Shark Gills" on earlier models are now made from heavy mesh screen. Standing alongside a Lot 15, looking in, you can see through from one side and out the other through these gun gas vent screens.

You did a very good job on the F/A-18, especially if the kit was as piss-poor as you described!
