This is the recent release by Academy of the 262 in 1/72 scale. I was interested in the kit, wasn't sure if I would be interested in the decals though. I read a review that said Academy had improved it's decals and sure enough, the decals for this kit gave me no trouble. The Reich Defense band is still a little thicker than I would like, but considering the nightmare of bad decals in the past I can live with it.

I had to practically take a hammer to the wings to get them to join with the fuselage though. The fit was very tight indeed. Hope you enjoy looking at it. I built it with the R4M 55 mm rockets under each wing. Russell

Very nice, Russ. You are a brave man to go with the kit decals...I've sworn off of them. The memories of my last experience still give me the shakes .

Hi there Mike. I would agree about the brave part, but again I read a review saying these decals for this kit were alright. Also, Academy has been getting quite a bit of negative feedback in regards to its decals performance, so, I have read they are trying to improve their decals. Thanks for the kind words. Russell
