Revell Germany model...white seems so "white", how should I paint a zeppelin's outer skin?

The outer skin of the main structure was doped fabric which would best be replicated with a semi flat greyish silver - hard to describe but not a high gloss chrome-like silver.

The gondolas were skinned in metal and wood and would have also been sprayed with the silver dope.

You should have little trouble finding reference photos - even though most are in black and white they give a fair indication of the sort of colour.

On such a small scale exact colour rendition is never going to be easy. You just need to go for something that looks right and errs on the sombre side or it will look too toy like.

Hi, Propboy.
I painted mine with various shades of Tamiya flat aluminum. A final coat of Gunze's water-based clear flat gave it an overall silver-gray finish that I think looks a lot like the references I've seen.
