so im dropping this one late in the game, the finish is not as smooth as i wanted, but oh well, and some of the decals arent great, Very poor register, Shame on you Eduard, but a long while ago i built a hellcat in braille, (when i was about 12) and have steered clear from glossy blue since, now the colour may not be spot on, as i took a "best guess" form the box art,
its nearly done and i must say included the best Aircraft wash i have ever done (note only the port wing has a wash and some of the portside fuselage)

Looks nice so far.
A real bummer those decals. Have you already sealed them with a coat of Future/varnish/what-have-you? That's quite a serious defect, I've never seen such on Eduard's decals before. I'm pretty sure they'd send a replacement sheet right away.

Hi James

I agree with Eetu - I've never seen a misalignment defect as bad as that before. I'm sure Eduard would supply a replacement set of decals.

All the best

Hey guys, Alright, ill send them an email, hopefully it wont take too long ( for fear of loosing interest
thanks for the heads up!

also, when larger, the pictures are badly grainy, and im finding it increasingly more difficult to capture detail, do you think its a lighting problem, or the camera is getting too old?

James, nice finishand washes mate, damn shame about decals.

re photos, what camera is it? do you get grain if you shoot in natural light? What ISO rating are you using?

Hey Andy i believe these pics were shot with an ISO of 200, on a (for certain)Kodak easyshare ls755 on an empty memory card at maximum quality, in the past i ahve been able to take some fantastic pictures, but now they sorta suck compared the the old ones!

James, it looks great. I have the same kit and the decals on mine were a bit off as well. Not as bad as yours, but enough that i went with aftermarket decals (they also had the option I wanted.) Nice weathering/wear effects.

I think it may well be your lighting letting you down. ISO 200 should not grain up at all, as far as i kow the sensors don't deteriorate, they either work or dont. it is all clean?
