Hi guys,
Considering future modelling plans, i searched for a US plane that fought in Vietnam while being painted in Silver.
Everything i found was planes painted in the usual 2 tones camo. But i am pretty sure I saw at least once some plane (a F-104 perhaps) that was painted in silver, my imagination?
thanks for viewing!

The three-tone camouflage (green, dark green and tan) was introduced as a result of combat experience in Vietnam, so a lot of aircraft that were there in the early stages were bare metal. They include, in no particular order: F-105, F-104 (with white wings in many cases), B-57, RF-101 (I think), and B-66. There's probably more. Some were always painted, though, so in the early days would have been in their original colours - eg F-102.

It was towards the end of 1965. So, in effect, during 1966.
