Hi all,
I've had my arm twisted to build an airplane. The lucky candidate is Academy's 1/48 scale Spitfire FR Mk XIVe.
While I'm resisting the urge to go AM, this is going to be an OOTB build. However since I acquired the kit in the '90s when it was first released (and due to the fact that there's only one scheme suggested) the decals are a bit, well, aged (and rubbish)? I had a browse through "On Target Profiles 8: Photo Reconnaissance Spitfires in Worldwide Service" last night and upon seeing all the beautiful schemes wouldn't mind doing one of them.
To cut a long story short, apart from The Aviation Workshop's "MA-132: PR Spitfires, Pt2: Late Merlin & Griffon Engine Schemes" decal set, what other alternatives (in supplier) do I have?
Apologies for the naive question, folks: it's been about 15-17 years since I build an aircraft.
TIA
Rudi
