Hello All!!!!
I´ve been out for a long time, but now i´m back to the bench.
Because of physical space issues, i have to temporarely put aside the big Junkers.
Meanwile, i decided to give a chance to the Kopro kit i´ve had lurking around in my stash for a long time. I just bumped on Alpha Tango thread, and is doing a great work with it, so here´s may try, with the Eduard Exterior set.
I´m going with a closed cockpit for the first time, but i´ll had some Eduard details here and there...
Here are the first photos!
As always, criticism is most welcomed!!!
The cockpit is OOB painted with a mix of Vallejo and Lifecolor acrilic paints:
The exaust tube was detailed with some Eduard bits...
Thanks for viewing!!!

Hello José
great start on the kit!
I must say that I prefer the PE cockpit over the plastic parts, though it looks a bit 2 dimensional. The alternative would be an expensive resin pit, so I just went with what is in the Eduard box. Yours looks very nice nontheless!!
Great work on the jet exhaust ..(I had made a statement on that one in my BLog so no need to repeat it here.) I does look better than the plastic
all the best

Hello all!!!
First, thanks for the kind words, and here´s another small update!
There´s a gap of +- 3 mm on top of the fuselage, soi had to grind a lot of plastic from the exaust tube and plastic rims that accomodate it:
To install the PE airbrakes, i needed to scrap off a lot of plastic on a not so confortable zone, if you don´t have a mini drill. i have to invest in one of those...
My best regards!!!

Hello all!
here are some more pics of what is going on:
The Radar and air adnission on their site, a quite tricky fit...
Here you can see the amount of plastic that needs to come out... it can also be because of my skills as a gluer....
The size of the beast!!!!

Very nice progress José!
Though I do not understand your problems with the tail pipe. it sits some mm too far aft IMHO and thus you had some trouble, the pipe is a key and slot join to the fuselage and fit pretty well on my kit. Of course I did not put in PE but it should fit anyway. Maybe you built it the wrong way round?
Still I hope you are satisfied with your result and will progress soon
I focussed on the Komatsu G40 over the weekend so I still have to finish the F-5E before I proceed with my Su-7BMK and JF-17...
all the best

Hello José Pedro
very nice progress! Probably you will finish yours loong before I will get mine done
My build is on hold as I need to free some space in my "in progress display" (to store it when it is airbrushed) I did the Komatsu, the F-5E and the Predator recently ... maybe I try to get the Pitts Special done before proceding with the Fitter .. but I do not know yet.
Hopefully your build reports will motivate me to proceed
all the best

Looks great, Jose.
I have build this kit as well and used many of the same PE parts as you. The parts are really an improvement over the kit parts and your extra tubing on the landing gear.
Looking forward to see more

Thanks for the feedback!!!!
Here goes some more progress, though it´s a short burst...
The detail on the LG pits is very soft, and i´m going to try to dress it up with PE parts, and some piping...
The trail edge on the wings and flaps is inch thick, so i tried to reduce it, without altering the shape...
There´s a big gap between the flap and fuselage, that was dealt with plastic sheet, e at least on my example, there was a huge sink on top of the wings, probably because of the LG pits.
My best regards, and thanks for viewing!

Very Nice!!!
.. though I ghad hope you would progress a bit more as I wanted to take your work on the wheel bay as guide for my Su-7BMK! Too bad so my model will be very simple in this area..
all the best

Hi Jose
The build is looking terrific so far. The undercarriage and the piping you have added to it looks great.
All the best

yeah nice progress.. but what about the wheeeeel wellll pipes????
finished another military thingie meanwhile ... with PE !! come on Jose Pedro, don't leave me hanging

Wow. Looks good. Thanks for the clear detail shots. They're a real help to us clumsy modelers to be able to see what's supposed to happen.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!!!
Here a small update, but an important one, because it´s time for painting :
Black on the canopy, and instalation of the pitot tube, wich seems a medieval weapon , a lot of putty, filing and sanding was needed in order to achieve an acceptable fit...
Then it was forward for a green session on the radar radome
Finally, i started with the main painting scheme, and sprayed the yellow on, over several coats of white, or else, as you know, it´s extremelly dificult to achieve the desired density on the color...
I hope you like it as much as i do!!! It´s not perfect, but it´s proving itself a hard challenge, and an opportunity to develop my skills!!
My best regards!!!

Hi Jose.
Have to say your build is looking very, very good. The details you have added to the speed brake and main undercarriage bay look stunning.
