Here is a review of Eduard's very nice, but sadly also expensive, 1:48 scale B-24J Exterior set destined to the Revell/Monogram B-24J Liberator kit.

I don't think it has anything to do with being lazy at all. It all gets down to time and quality. Not all of us like to spend months on a kit scratch building features no one may ever see again. These sets allow you to add heaps of detail without taking heaps of time and frustration trying to build stuff yourself. I would rather finish a model and get to the next one.
You may be right, I may be crazy.
