I don’t DO planes but this AOA campaign intrigues me. I think it's the colorful aircraft the WWI aces flew. Anyway I was in my LHS today and they didn't have hardly ANY WWI aircraft. Only a few Airfix 1/72 scale Camels, SE-5s, and a Bristol Fighter. They were less than $5 each and I though "how bad could they be?" Can anybody tell me? Are they a complete waste of time of maybe a way to lure this unsuspecting armor fan into the dark side?

Jump in there, Rodger. I don't know anything about the Airfix kits. I avoid Airfix like the plague, myself, but like you said for < $5 how good do they really have to be? At that size the detail on them aren't really that great no matter what company you get, and interiors are a joke (I didn't even do the interiors on my 2 1:72 kits) so I would say grab one and have fun with it.
