Hi there
Checking the wings of my Wingnuts D.V I've found they are a bit warped. It doesn't seem nearly as bad as Keith found, but they are warped nevertheless. Straightening them shouldn't be too hard, but being basically a WW2 modeller, my Albatros references are woefully limited and the only plans I have are a small set in Osprey's "Albatros Aces".
So, my question is: Did the upper wing have dihedral? The Osprey plans show a tiny bit - is that right? My Wingnuts wing is a curve from tip to tip, so I don't want to completely flatten it if that would be wrong.
Thanks in advance and all the best
Rowan

Hi Rowan No there is no dihedral to the top wing . It's straight as a board !
If you want I can scan some info for you .................

Rowan the answer is an emphatic NO Dihedral...flat as flat can be.
and keep repeating it, the wing likes to slowly ease back into its curve...unless it was my painting that did that..LOL

Hi Terri and Keith
Many thanks - no need for a scan if flat is flat. By eye, Osprey show about 0.5° dihedral and Wingnut's wing is, well, a banana...
All the best

Hi Keith
Thanks for the heads up - it looks like I was a little over-confident in thinking straightening it would be a doddle.
All the best
