As per the title, I'm after decals for a P-40N of the 49th FG which I want to finish with a NMF. I've seen some in 1/48 but not for the 1/72 scale that I'm building.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Alex,
I've just recently done a survey of P-40 Decals for the P-40 Work Horse campaign, it includes over 140 decal sets in1/32, 1/48, & 1/72. It looks like 49FG NMF P-40N in 1/72 is going to be very hard to find.
Here's my list (if you have MS Excel 97-07)
P-40 decals and details
There are some 1/72 NMF finishes in there but they are typically RNZZF or Brazilian AF. Please tell me if you find any NMF in 1/72 so I can add it to the list.
Good luck! Mark

Thanks, Mark! Great list, too. I've found the exact decals I need....in 1/48!! Column 105, bottom ship...........ain't that just typical.
As a side note, while we're talking P-40s, I saw some rather fetching profiles of '40s painted in yellow over on the 'Wings Pallette' site. They were all N models with the 15th AF. Do you know anything about these ships? They'd make splenid model projects.
Cheers, Alex

No, I didn't know about "Wings Palette" b4 now. I may add it to my P-40 Resource thread. I think I saw the NMF from 49FG, had to check it twice since it was near the 1/72 area. Sorry. The list is large but I have no idea if it's complete.
If you're in to P-40's, we're pulling together a P-40/ P-36 build for next year, look for P-40 Work Horse campaign. We can always use more folks!

Might be able to help you out. I think, if memory serves me, I have a decal sheet from the 49th in 1/72 with the NMF P-40N. Will need to get back to you in a day or two, if you are still interested?

I do have the sheet you are looking for.
It is from Three Guys Replicas, P-40N's 49th F.G., TGR72005. There are 2 NMF P-40Ns represented on the sheet. She specifics are included in a review on Cybermodeler. I have included the link: www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/decals/tgr/decal_tgr72005.shtml.
Look it over and see if this is what you were looking for. If so, I would be willing to part with the 2 NMF, but would keep the balance of the decals.

Right, I'm back on the search and have exhausted myself trying to find some decals for my NMF P-40N.
If anyone has any decals for a 1/72 kit of the NMF P-40N 49th FG or one of the NMF P-40N of the Brazilian Air Force, please drop me an email with the cost incuding p&p to France.
Cheers.
