Hello Everyone,
I am returning to modelling via my 10 year old son who has gone modelling mad! We have a lovely project to do together building an Airfix 1/48 scale Mosquito for a friend of mines father who used to crew Mossie nightfighters with 456 sqdn during 1944. I want to adapt the kit and get proper decals (we called them transfers in my day!)made with the correct squadron codes etc. Is there anyone who offers this service or could I even print them myself somehow? He is going to some do at the Mosquito Museum in June and I would really love to have it done by then if poss.It would be such a lovely surprise for him.
Thanks in advance!
Mark

You can print them yourself on clear decal paper. Or mask them and paint them on. You can find WW2 RAF fonts here
http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/forums/dlcat-military-fonts-19/
If the markings are white you could use white decal paper.
See this example of mine. The white paper can be thick and need blending in.
Also you can probably get generic code letter masks and decals, montex do masks and Mal Mayfield (holdfast) on here does them too and he provides a custom service too.
Try Hannants as a start for looking for decal sheets. Good luck.
