Hi Bill,
Glad you enjoyed the trip, it's not a bad museum although the lighting in parts is poor from the photographic side of life.
I've been a few times as it's not far from where I work.
Some great aircraft on show and the Mk IIIA Humber is neat.

Thank you Bill for the article. It reminded me my visit in London in 2005, I've been twice in Hendon and just once in Duxford. Both these places are great. In Hendon you can feel a specific spirit of the place but Duxford has still airworthy machines and you can hear their working engines from time to time. I have to find my collection of photos taken in London...

Hi Bill
There an interesting group of bikes behind you and the Hurricane in the first photo. The photo of the u/c bay of the Mustang is very good.

Hi Giacomo
Have you enough for a Feature article? That goes for everyone - it'd be great to cover as many museums worldwide as possible to give potential visitors a taste of them.
All the best

Thank you, all, for your kind words.
Al, you're lucky to work nearby. I had a teenager in tow, so a limited amount of time (she was very patient and can be seen in one of the photos smiling a fake "My dad is a loser, how much longer will this last?" smile).
Paul, thanks for the offer. I will take you up on it sometime.
Kelly, I would be interested to know if the starter crank is WW I or post-war. Somehow I suspect the latter, but don't really know.
Michal, it would be fabulous to hear some of these birds cranked up. Duxford is my next trip!
Thanks, Tim. I couldn't get close to most of the planes, but the Mustang was mounted in such a way I could get a good angle on the interior. I figure there's a scratch builder somewhere who will thank me, LOL.
Neil, remember that teenager referenced above, LOL? The only day I could get up there was Sunday when Hannants was closed. I went to Motag Modelbau in Berlin as a consolation, but found its prices high and its selection just so-so. The Internet and being an editor for Kitmaker has spoiled me, I admit.
Giacomo, I am a big fan of Regia Aeronautica, and have a Pacific Coast Models Macchi 200 1/32nd scale in my stash, so prego!!
Hi, Terri, I thought the WNW crowd might enjoy the Pup.
And thanks, Rowan, for getting this one up so quickly. I'll be curious to see how long it takes Keith to get my Imperial War Museum feature up over on Armorama (which has some good shots of a FW-190 among other craft).
