At first glance, it looks impressive, but taking a further look it’s more gimmick than accurate. The nozzle assembly looks odd and is partially closed. The real -229 is for the most part, fully open and is rarely seen partially closed and not to mention the shapes of turkey feathers are off. I have no idea what they used for reference of the “Exhaust duct liner” detail, but that’s nothing like the real thing. The Eduard set looks like thick weave instead of the proper perforated ripple liner of the real -229 Exhaust duct liner.

The PE flame holder is too thin. The main centric duct ring should be twice as thick, as should the run-off troughs.

Looks like the Aires nozzle is still the best and most accurate. Trim the bolt tabs off the ends of the turkey feathers, and it’ll pass for a Pratt-229.
