Hi
This is one of aircrafts i'm working on. It's OOB Zvezda's kit. It's superb! Lot of delicate details, everything fits good. In a future i'm going tu build another one with some PEs and resin engine, but this one is built to recognize Zvezda's kit.

upper engine cover plate is mounted, but not glued. It is the only part that have to by scratched a little to better fit

Kamil that looks really nice!!

...the weathering looks a bit artificial to my eye (maybe you are trying the "Spanish school" or color modulation) it still is very cool and if you like it that way it is close to perfect!

Like Chuck I like your model very much. Would you mind if I use the pictures for a photo feature for the site?

What did you use for the aerial wire? In some pictures it is straight and in others it seems to be sagging a little...

It is possible to scratch and drill surfaces to made 'tired surfaces'. But it is visible only if eye and light are on special angles. If it is painted, whole surface is 'artistik', 'lives', regardless of lightning etc..

Aerial wire is made with polyester thread, on first two pictures antenna is bend a little (and there is no pitot's tube too :>). Now it's corrected

Yeah, that's pretty much accurate for the real plane as well.

Nicely built, but weathering is little bit overdone for my taste as well. I'd rather concentrate on soot and scratches:







If we're talking on aircraft pictures as a reference material I'd kindly ask to disclose any pictures of VVS a/c with oil/fuel leaking under/from antenna mast, cockpit area, etc.

I don't know if it was Kamil's intent, but to me it looks like an aircraft that just landed on a very muddy airfield. I've seen photos of aircraft landing/taking off on wet airfields and the muddy water from the large puddles can be seen spraying everywhere.

I can't comment on the accuracy of the weathering, but to pull it off you must have some skills!! really nice one, Zvezda you say. May be my next aircraft, not too sure yet.

Kamil, very nice work! You have skills, my friend!
The Zvezda offering is a real gem for any collection. Definitely one of my forthcoming builds.
As for the weathering - may be a little overdone in places but it strongly reminds me of an aircraft which flew through the debris of a enemy shot few seconds before.
You remember the IAF Mirage IIICJ which flew through the fireball of a MiG? Instead of a sparkling all metal finish it was almost black.
