Hi everyone, I last posted here about 4 years ago. I recently got the modeling bug again. Here is my Trumpeter 1/32 Me262. I've been chipping away at this for about a month. It's a fun kit to build. Most of the main paint job is on, once I touch up some bits I'll give it a gloss coat ready for the decals. The mottle scheme is sort of made up, but it was fun to paint.

Hi Grant. Your 262 looks great! There was such variation among paint jobs on German aircraft that I wouldn't worry at all about improvising the scheme. You've done well. I am interested in seeing it finished. Glad to have you back on the site. Take care, Russell.

Cheers. I did a bit more on it this afternoon. I've got a week off work so I think I'll try and knock this one off soon.

Almost finished this one. This is probably the nicest kit I've built. Detail and fit is awesome. The only thing I didn't like were the vinyl tires. If I build another one of these I'll get the resin replacements. Photos were taken with a flash, once there is actually some sun I'll take some better pics as these really don't show the model particularly well.

Excellent model work there Grant! You did a fine job on the 262. The camo job looks outstanding. Looking forward to seeing your next build. Russell

Great job on the 262 Grant, I love the camo. The splinter offset by the mottling really kicks !!
Like Russell, I'm looking forward to your next project now.
Cheers, D

Cheers guys, next up is the Hasegawa 1/48 109e-4. I also just put in a bid in an online auction for a favourite kit that I built in the 80s as a kid, in its original boxing.
