Hi All
I'm new on this forum, so I'll be posting a few of my past builds. My usual modelling area is automotive which I started doing again about 4 to 5 years ago. But since getting involved with a local club, I've expanded back into doing aircraft's and armour for the first time since I was a teenager.

The first is my Revell F-86D Sabre Dog, my first go in this scale for aircraft's. Built straight "OOB" and painted with Alclad's airframe aluminium and stainless steel. Weathering was done with an airbrush using a mixture of Tamiya paints.

Very, very nice work. Always liked the Sabre family of jets. Good looking machines. What scale is your model? Thanks for posting. Russell

Hi Mick
Welcome to Aeroscale Mick. Nice, very nice or should I say thats a mean looking Sabre dog you have there, those teeth look great. Did you have to cut the flaps and spoilers or are they supplied separately? Thanks for posting Mick.

Hi, thanks for the welcome and comments.

To Russell's question, it's 1/48th scale and a nice model to build.

To Tim's question, yes, they come like that in the kit.

As I said earlier, this was my first dabble with 1/48th scale aircraft. I got this as a test build for doing an all over paint job with the Alclad, prior to starting a 1/48th P-47. For someone planning to try 1/48th scale, this is the ideal kit to try first.
