Finished my 1/48 Mk Vb Spitfire today this was my first Trop build and would like to build a Italian fighter to go with it,so any suggestions would be welcome.

Superb work Martin! How about a Macchi 202 Folgore. There are several good kits in 1/48 scale, Hasegawa comes to mind right off hand. Russell

I'd agree. The Hasegawa Macchi C.202 kits are nicely done and build up well. There were a variety of interesting paint schemes used on these birds, too, so in the end you'll undoubtedly end up with a cool looking project.

Another possibility would be the Tamiya (Italeri) Regianne RE.2002. Rowan did an in-box review of the kit and you can find it here.
