Between the 4 of us, my many-years-old stash is suddenly dwindling, but there are some that are saved just for dad!
-Sean H.
Thanks for sharing Sean, I really wanted this thread to be about family builds and encouraging the next generation !
Now let me share a tip, get the kids to do some chores around the house for pocket money and there are 3 benefits:
1. You don't have as many chores.
2. You get to take the kids to the LHS to buy their own kits (that's the excuse I use every time I go anyway)
3. YOUR stash remains intact.

Hi Russell. Liam said thank you for telling him how good his model looks. Liam thinks soon you might build a rocket model.

Hi Damian, tell Liam not a bad idea. If he were to build a rocket, which one would he build? Just curious? Russell

Time to drag this thread up again, time marches on and I now have a new addition to the clan, Darcy is now 8 weeks old and almost ready to start training on the Xacto and Tamiya Extra Thin Cement !
I took Josh and Liam to our club Christmas break-up meeting, and they BOTH won raffle prizes. I tried to bargain with them, since I funded the tickets, to no avail. They both chose car kits from the prize pool (pictured below), at which I told them that they needed to choose again as neither kit had any weapons. Once again, my pleas fell on deaf ears. Level of respect for Dad = ZERO !! I should have made them walk home.
Anyway here are the offending brats and their prizes
Liam chose the Italeri 1/24 Giulietta Spider 1600cc
and together we made a start on it tonight
Josh chose the Tamiya 1/24 Jaguar XJ220
I got nothing . . . . . . NOTHING !!
How about it folks, any other juniors score some kits or doing some building over Christmas ?
Cheers, D

Damien , man this is cool ...
My son is 8 years old , and was pestering me to build kits again , wanted to go to the modelling club .
I was thinking he was too young until I watched him build LEGO Bionicals in no time flat .
So we went and have built a couple planes together and a couple tiny submarines .
Today he started a P51 Mustang by ICM ..
Good stuff .

That's the stuff Brian. It gets a bit tricky when they start eyeballing your stash though. Post up some photos when you get a chance.
